Deborah Pender

LMSW

Hi, my name is Deborah Pender. Most people call me “Debbie” and I am perfectly okay with that. I hold an LMSW in Georgia and am a recent graduate with my (MSW) Master Social Work from Kennesaw State University. My undergraduate was received from Liberty University with Psychology and Life Coaching as my major and Christian Counseling my minor. As a Christian minister in Pastoral Care, I have had extensive experience in walking individuals through life’s challenging moments. I believe in the power of prayer and often use it within my practice. I use the client centered approach adopted from Carl Rogers that augments and supports my clients in their autonomy and decision-making processes with positive regard. I work well with trauma focused interventions that help heal those struggling from childhood traumas, sexual abuse, domestic violence, and other traumatic experiences. As a client you will find the session’s climate to be warm and disarming where anxiety and depression turn to encouragement and hope and the atmosphere projects the transforming power to produce lasting change.
